Life is a queer contemplation of ourselves
I find that words are my enemy
And my heart drive me into a wall over and over.
But I refuse to let go of this
Refuse to give in to what is only temporary
Had I not words to wrestle with
It would be something else,
Had I not need to keep my heart in check
I would have another struggle to live through.
Everything like time is temporal and fleeting
But what is in the moments
The short breaths, small struggles, tiny problems
Is what makes it all worth the journey.
A step forward, a step backwards
And I am dancing with life
To a different song -
I'm learning it isn't the destination that matters
But the steps to get there that are beautiful.
